Με την ομαδική έκθεση Fernweh ή νοσταλγία για άγνωστους τόπους εγκαινιάζεται για το κοινό ο χώρος όπου φιλοξενείται η Συλλογή Ειρήνης Παναγοπούλου. Η έκθεση έχει σκοπό να αποκαλύψει το ευρύ φάσμα της συλλογής και παράλληλα επιδιώκει να προσφέρει μια διεισδυτική ματιά στη συλλεκτική δραστηριότητα, αναδεικνύοντας τον χώρο στέγασης ως τόπο εργασίας, έκθεσης, αρχείου, βιβλιοθεσίας, αποθήκευσης και διατήρησης των αντικειμένων. Η Συλλογή Ειρήνης Παναγοπούλου εκτείνεται χρονικά από τον 16ο αιώνα έως τη σύγχρονη εποχή και έχει διεθνή χαρακτήρα. Απαρτίζεται από εικαστικά έργα, αντικείμενα λαϊκής τέχνης, αρχεία, βιβλία, χειρόγραφα, χάρτες, ιστορικά τεκμήρια και αντικείμενα εφαρμοσμένων τεχνών.
The group show Fernweh, or Nostalgia for Unknown Lands introduces the Irene Υ. Panagopoulos Collection space to the public. This inaugural exhibition seeks not only to showcase the extensive breadth of the collection but also to offer an intimate glimpse into the practice of collecting itself – illuminating the space as a dynamic environment that serves simultaneously as a workspace, a gallery, an archive, a library, a repository, and a site of preservation. With its items spanning from the 16th century to the present day, the Irene Υ. Panagopoulos Collection possesses a distinctly international approach, encompassing visual artworks, folk art objects, archival materials, books, manuscripts, maps, historical documents, and artifacts of applied arts.
